MEDIUM VISCOSITY EPOXY CASTING DEFINITION

PTE-47851 is a medium viscosity versatile epoxy casting system that exhibits unusually high thermal conductivity, and low thermal expansion. This product is designed for use in a four to one volumetric mix ratio, side by side dispensing system(50ml cartridge etc.). It is recommended for small electrical/electronic casting and encapsulating applications that require a unique combination of excellent wetting, flow, good thermal expansion properties, thermal shock resistance, and outstanding electrical properties.

APPLICATION PROPERTIES FOR MEDIUM VISCOSITY EPOXY CASTINGS

  • PTE- 47851, when fully cured, is highly resistant to moisture, hot water, steam, hot antifreeze solutions, automotive fluids, detergents, gasoline, hydraulic fluids, plasticizers, cleaning agents, acids, and bases.
  • PTE-47851 is highly resistant to vibration and can be thermal cycled between -40 and 150°C.

The properties set out below were determined following measurements carried out in the laboratory over a small number of tests. They are values given by way of guidance, and do not constitute a guarantee. It will be for the user, in all cases, to carry out their own tests to determine whether the PTE-47851® resin can be used for the particular application the user has in mind.
