Business Development Manager in Semiconductor / Electronics Assembly Industries.
Home base position: East Coast
Must be able to locate new opportunities with targeted prospects and established customers. The sales cycle is understood to be long (1+ years) and multi-faceted therefore candidate must create, organize, and maintain effective strategies to manage the right opportunity with the right prospect. The ability to follow-up and follow through is critical. 30-40% travel is required.
A technical sales background with the semiconductor or electronics assembly industries, specifically adhesives, encapsulants and sealants via epoxy, urethane, and silicone chemistries is necessary. The position will require the candidate to work directly with design and process engineers to determine which product can meet their unique technical targets for new DOE’s. Knowledge of how semiconductors and electronic assembly are made is extremely helpful for a successful career.
Desired Skills & Experience
Strong history with potential customers and ability to organize meetings with key contacts
Prospecting and canvassing target market segments in the semiconductor and electronics assembly industries
History with industries that use electronic grade adhesives, encapsulants and sealants.
Understanding of how and where such products are used
Ability to locate and work with large multinational customers on new projects
Follow up thoroughly with sales prospects developed from various marketing activities such as trades shows and online media.
Develop organized and detailed account and market sales tactics.
Trade show experience from locating to attending
A self-starter who wants to create his or her own success
